Andrew Drury and Fly Fishing for Redfish
Andrew is not only an experienced fly fisher when it comes to Redfish, he is also a member of the KW Fly Fishers and the secretary of our club.
It seems Redfish were put on the earth for anglers. They offer accessibility, action, challenge, and natural beauty. Redfish, also known as Red Drum, are one of the most commmonly targeted saltwater species in the United States. They are know for their striking reddish colouration and the black spot on their tail which can be spotted as they’re feeding in shallow water. They’re known for cruising in shallow salt water flats ready for fly anglers to drop a crab, shrimp or small baitfish imitation in front of their faces.

Our October fly tying meeting will take place on Thursday, October 17th starting at 7 p.m. at the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory , 2500 Kossuth Road in Cambridge. Guest tyer to be announced.
